Brandon R. Rapp Brandon R. Rapp, age 25, of Clay Township, died March 12, 2010, in Ann Arbor from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born October 2, 1984, in Detroit. He was a substitute teacher for LLC Professional Education Services. Graduated in 2002 from Anchor Bay High School where he was a member of the ROTC and in 2008 from Eastern Michigan University and coached a baseball team for special needs children. He is survived by his parents, Robert and Ronette Rapp of Clay Township, brother Michael and sister Malissa also of Clay Township; his grandparents, Arlene Rapp of Warren and Ronald (Alice) Mominee of Westmoreland, Tenn.; his girlfriend Stephanie Yetter, his dog Pepper Ann and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who loved him. Celina E. Babcock Celina Edwina Babcock, age 84, a resident of Algonac since 1961. Edwina went home to be with the Lord, March 12, 2010, at Mt. Clemens Regional Medical Center. Born March 25, 1925 in Detroit. She was a partner at Bonafide Pattern in Detroit and the manager of Bev's Dance Studio in New Baltimore. She was a member of Life Christian Church in Fair Haven and enjoyed dancing, gardening and sewing. She is survived by two daughters, Sandra (Robert) Bruglio of Westmoreland, Tenn. and Beverly (Thomas) Kaiser of Pearl Beach. She was a loving mother who always put family first. She was loving and kind to everyone and will be greatly missed. She was married to Robert Babcock, March 17, 1956 in Detroit. He passed away July 22, 2002. Hazel D. Rooney Hazel D. Rooney, age 94, a resident of Mount Clemens for 86 years, currently of Sterling Heights died on Sunday, March 14, 2010. She was born May 15, 1915, in Mount Clemens to the late Herman and Emilie Stern Stuever. Mrs. Rooney was a homemaker. She was a lifetime member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Mount Clemens where she was a member of the Altar Guild, Ladies Aid, and the Golden Years Group; and a member of Mount Clemens Women's Club. She is survived by her daughters Margo (Jared) Finney of Rochester Hills, Diane (Jerry) Goschka of Lansing, three grandchildren, Alan (Melissa), Brian (Tina), and Craig Goschka, and four great-grandchildren, Nathan, Peyton, Emily and Christopher Goschka. Marie N. Lane, 93, of Centreville, formerly of Coldwater, died Sunday, March 14, 2010 at the Fairview Medical Living Center & Rehabilitation in Centreville. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Dutcher-Kolcz Funeral Home in Bronson with Pastor Doug Balle from New Beginnings Community Church officiating. Interment of ashes will follow at Snow Prairie Cemetery in Bronson. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 16, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. at Dutcher-Kolcz Funeral Home in Bronson and again prior to the service on Wednesday beginning at 1 p.m. Marie was born Oct. 7, 1916 in Bethel Twp., to Ernest and Lelah (Sanders) Bogart. She married John Lane on March 10,1938 in Coldwater. He preceded her in death in 1983. Marie spent most of her life in Coldwater, moving to Sturgis in 1980 and she attended the New Beginnings Community Church in Centreville. Mrs. Lane was a dedicated wife, mother and homemaker and also worked for the NAPA Auto Parts Stores in Bronson and Sturgis for 15 years. She also spent much time helping her husband on the family farm. Marie was a certified Red Cross First Aide instructor, having taught many of the local law enforcement and fire officials. She enjoyed crocheting gifts for others and flower gardening, maintaining many beautiful gardens. Marie had a generous heart for serving others, she adored her family and most enjoyed the time they all spent together especially with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Marie is survived by her sons Stanley Lane of Bronson and Lloyd (Terry Hirsch) Lane of Carrollton, Texas, daughter Nola McCreery of Centreville, brother Carl (Carol) Bogart of Macon, Ga., sisters Dorothy Robbins of Costa Mesa, Calif. and Marion (Floyd) Doty of Sarasota Fla., grandchildren Bryan Lane, Veneta (Jeff) Warren, Ellen (Doug) Balle, Allen (Michelle) McCreery, Kristine (Scott) Schneider and Julie (Mark) Thomas, great-grandchildren Terrence, Angela, Jennifer, Nathan, Zackaria, Bradley, Tyson, Lindsey, Lauren, Hannah, Zack, Luke, Emma, Jordan, Abigail, Lane and Adam and four great-great grandchildren, Cohen, Peyton, Braedyn and Keaton. Michael V. Urban Michael V. Urban, age 52, of Chesterfield Township since 2000, died March 14, 2010, at his home after a courageous battle with cancer and arthritis. Terry W. Deevers, 52, of Tekonsha, passed away Saturday, March 13, 2010 at his home. He was born May 28, 1957 in Napoleon, Ohio, to Charles E. and Joann (Bremer) Deevers. Terry graduated from Tekonsha High School in 1975, where he was an outstanding athlete, receiving an all-state football award. He loved his job with the City of Battle Creek operating heavy equipment and looked forward to going to work. A master of all trades, he was a snowplow rodeo champ, loved riding his Harley with friends and he was proud of his Indian heritage and his Indian name, Silver Fox. He is survived by a son, Nick Deevers of Kalamazoo, a daughter, Beth Deevers, his mother, Joann (Don) Dean, sister Diane (Larry) Goodrich and his significant other, LaDonna Munoz, all of Tekonsha.
