Pray for me! When my eyes are  dim and sightless And my weak voice on  Thee shall call; Be near me then, I do beseech Thee, My precious Mother,  my friend, my all! When in my agony  I am struggling, May my last thoughts  be all of Thee; When my soul from  earth is passing, Then Virgin Mother,  pray for me! When my friends are  ’round me weeping, Loved ones I never  more can see; Immaculate Mother,  gentle Mary! Comfort them and  pray for me! —Mary Ann O’Reilly (1854)   |
