Benjamin Allyn Bradley Charlotte Age 23, died Friday, April 23, 2010. Mr. Bradley was born August 6, 1986 in Charlotte, MI the son of Ivan & Beverly (Stall) Bradley. He is survived by his parents, along with his siblings: Heather and Cameron. He is also survived by his sweetheart, Audrey Baughman; grandparents, Evelynn & Douglas Stall; great grandmother, Dorathea Stall; and several aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Russell and Dorothy Bradley and great-grandfather, Verle Stall. Ben served his country in the Marine Corps from August of 2005 to August 2009 serving two deployments to Iraq. He loved the Lord and enjoyed playing the guitar, doing so on the worship team while on the Marine Base, and currently with the Nashville Assembly of God Church. While in high school, he played the Tuba and sousaphone in the Charlotte bands, ran on the track team, and was active in Boy Scouts and the New Country 4-H Club. While he had a very gentle nature, he was adventurous and loved life. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at Nashville Assembly of God Church with Pastor Glenn Branham officiating. Interment will be at Gresham Cemetery. Donald H. Semrau Donald H. Semrau, age 82, of Mount Clemens, passed away April 24, 2010. He was born on September 7, 1927, in Mount Clemens, Michigan, a son of the late Herbert and Annette (Hecht) Semrau. Don was a self-employed carpenter for 47 years and retired in 1992. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Mount Clemens, the Boy Scouts of America, Mount Clemens Housing Commission, Kiwanis Club of Michigan, and several church committees. Don deeply loved his family, camping, traveling and carving. Mr. Semrau is survived by his wife of 60 years, Barbara and three children, Marilyn Semrau of Eastpointe, David (Kellie) Semrau of Chesterfield Township and Julie (Robert) Johnson of Roseville; family friend, Greg; four grandchildren, Justin, Lacie, Lindsey and Jacob and a sister, Barbara Pagett of Macomb Township. Don was predeceased by a sister, Virginia Fortier. Donna J. Miller, age 86 years, of Adrian, formerly of Hudson, passed away Saturday, April 24, 2010, at her home. She was born on Oct. 10, 1923, in Hudson, the daughter of Clarence and Mildred (Day) Kelley. Donna graduated from Hudson High School in 1941. She married Jay Elwood Miller on Aug. 24, 1945, in Hudson. He preceded her in death on Jan. 16, 1968. She worked at the Kroger Egg Company as a grader in Hudson and then later as an egg inspector for the USDA. Donna was an avid sports fan, especially of the Detroit Tigers. She enjoyed watching many sports on TV, especially hockey, bowling and baseball. She also loved playing cards, computer card games and activities at the senior centers in Adrian, Tecumseh and Hudson. Donna is survived by four children, Gary Miller of Hudson, Gordon Miller of Adrian, Beverley (Doug) Herrmann of Newaygo and Barb (Toney) Isom of Adrian; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several stepgrandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, granddaughter and brother, Donald Kelley. Emery L. Cramer, age 81, of Sturgis, beloved husband, father, Paw-Paw, grandpa and great-grandpa, passed away Thursday morning, April 22, 2010, at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo. He was born June 27, 1928, in Columbia City, Ind., a son of the late Emery and Esther (Dexter) Cramer. Mr. Cramer originally came to Sturgis in 1960. They resided there until 2000, when he and his wife moved to Virginia, where they resided for three years. They then moved to Holland, then returned to Sturgis in 2009. His early life was spent in the Fort Wayne, Ind., area. On Sept. 24, 1949, he married Beverly Bridge in Fort Wayne, Ind. Mr. Cramer was an accountant by trade and retired from Parma Tube in Sturgis, where he had held the position of controller for 10 years. Prior to joining Parma Tube he had been employed by Grav-i-Flo in Sturgis and Central States Grain in Fort Wayne. He was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church in Sturgis and a former member of the Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus and the Loyal Order of Moose #574. He was proud to have served his country first with the Merchant Marines and later he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps, serving from 1946-1950 and was stationed in China. He earned the rank of sergeant. He enjoyed playing golf, bowling, reading and was a talented woodworker. He has left behind a loving family to cherish his memory through their tears. They will remember him with many smiles, laughs, stories and much love. This is the way he would want it until they are all reunited with him in heaven. He and Beverly’s loving marriage of 60 years serves as a shining example of true dedication as husband and wife. He is survived by his loving wife, Beverly; a daughter, Theresa Potts of Sturgis; a son, Michael Cramer; four grandchildren, Amy (Aaron) Morris of Sturgis, Julie Swihart, of Sturgis, Scott (Alisha) Roberts of Sturgis and Tony (Tara) Cramer of Holland; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers-in-law, David (Rita) Bridge of Indianapolis and William Bridge of Williamsburg, Va.; and many nieces and nephews. His parents, two sisters and a brother preceded him in death. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service celebrating the life of Emery L. Evelyn E. Hoxworth Florida Age 93, formerly of Battle Creek. Evelyn Hoxworth's two sets of grandparents lived in Derby, England. Her parents George and Annie Wood immigrated to the United States in 1910, settling in Battle Creek, in a small community called Brownlee Park. Evelyn was born January 14, 1917, and already had a three year old brother, George. The family moved to Chicago, Illinois area when the children were very young. She attended school and graduated from two years of college with a degree in teaching. She taught for three years in a small country one room school boarding with farmers. Evelyn had known Warren Hoxworth for many years as his family lived in the same Brownlee Park community, but when romance bloomed, Warren proposed and they were married in 1930. Consumers Power Company transferred Warren to Lansing, MI, and worked for 37 years retiring in 1973. They settled at Traveler's Rest Airstream Park and enjoyed 20 years of retirement together. Warren died in 1993. Two children were born to them, a daughter, Ruthann Wolthuis now living in Ionia, MI, raising three grandchildren, Sheri Stoner, Susan Hooper and Steve Wolthuis and a total of seven great-grandchildren. A son Roy lives in Dunnellon, Florida working for Hospice of Marion County in Ocala. He had two children, a daughter Erin killed in an automobile accident in 1992 and Tate, a son living with his family of four little girls in Greer, South Carolina. Evelyn lived in Zephyrhills, Florida 17 years and was a member of Temple Baptist Church. Evelyn's brother George was a pilot in the U.S. Army Air Corps and was killed in Alaska. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday April 28, 2010, at the Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel in Battle Creek. Gertrude Ann Hudak Gertrude Ann Hudak, age 67, of Warren, and known to her loved ones as “Trudy,” passed away peacefully on April 23, 2010. She was born in Detroit on April 4, 1943. Trudy is survived by her siblings; Joseph Hudak of California, Ralph (Rita) Hudak of Lapeer, John Hudak of Arizona, Helen (William) Fowler of Warren, Raymond (Laura) Hudak of Ohio, and Bernadette Van Steenkiste of Warren. Trudy was a loving aunt. She is survived by her five nieces, 10 nephews, 12 grand-nieces, and seven grand-nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Helen (nee: Panzik) Hudak; her niece, Lisa Hudak; nephew, Jeff Fowler, and grand-nephew, Alexander Hudak. Trudy graduated from St. Clement High School and attended the Center for Creative Studies. She retired from the General Motors Art Department after 30 loyal years of service. After her retirement, Trudy enjoyed dancing, movies, sing-a-longs, and shopping. Trudy will lie instate Tuesday, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass at 10 a.m., at St. Clement Catholic Church in Center Line. Gertrude L. “Betsy” Avery, age 101, of Sturgis, passed away Thursday morning, April 15, 2010, at Thurston Woods Village in Sturgis. She was born Aug. 25, 1908, in Wabash County, Ind., a daughter of the late Edward U. and E. Blanch (Keel) Wetters. Mrs. Avery had resided in Sturgis since 1944, coming from Bippus, Ind., where she graduated from Bippus High School with the class of 1926. On July 30, 1944, she married Harvey G. Avery in Sturgis. He died Sept. 8, 1991. Mrs. Avery had been employed by the U.S. Postal Service until moving to Sturgis. Following her marriage she assisted her husband in the Avery Studio and Camera Shop in Sturgis. She was a member and past president of the Business and Professional Woman’s Club. She was a life member of the Professional Photographers of Michigan and Sigma Phi Gama-Beta Chapter of Huntington, Ind., and an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Sturgis. She is survived a daughter; Pamela Sue Gearhart of White Pigeon; a stepson, Russell Avery of Vicksburg; a daughter-in-law, Helen Jean Avery of Colon; 11 grandchildren, Phillip Avery of Sturgis, Brian (Laura) Avery of Vicksburg, Terry Ann (Bob) Millard of Piedmont, S.C., Cheri (Tom) Rose of Augusta, Michelle Williams of White Pigeon, Jo Ann (Steve) Herman of Ringgold, Ga., Sandra (David) Sweet of Wakefield, R.I., D.J. (Rocky) Goodson of Sherwood, Katie Lynn Bussard of White Pigeon, Kurt Kuenzel of Kalamazoo and Karl (Cheryl) Kuenzel of Kalamazoo; 20 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Jo Ann S. (Crago) Kuenzel Smith; a stepson, Donald Avery; and a brother, Donald G. Wetters. Glenn R. Buter, age 88, died on April 22, 2010, at the Courtyards, on the Brethren Village retirement community’s campus, where he was a resident. Glenn was the husband of the late Ann Ruth Brower Buter, who died Feb. 22, 2006, and with whom he celebrated 64 years of marriage on Christmas Day 2005. Born in Zeeland, Mich., he was the son of the late Gustave and Nellie Bos Buter. A former Zeeland resident, he was a graduate of Holland Christian High School and, later in his career, the Executive Management Course, Harvard. Mr. Buter was employed by Whitehall Products Inc. for 27 years. When he joined the company in 1952 as a Sales Representative, it was known as Mail Pouch Tobacco Company. In 1957 he was promoted to Division Manager, in 1964 he was named Eastern Field Sales Manager and in 1969 National Sales Manager, a position he held until his retirement in 1979. Prior to joining Whitehall Products he served as a District Representative for W.K. Kellogg Co., Battle Creek, Mich. Mr. Buter lived in Zeeland until 1964 when he, his wife and their family relocated to Lancaster, Pa. In 1970 he was transferred to Mail Pouch headquarters in Wheeling, W.V., where he and his family resided in adjacent St. Clairsville, Ohio, until 1979. Upon his retirement that year they returned to Zeeland, Mich. They made their residence in the Zeeland area until 2002, when they returned to Lancaster, Pa. While residing in Zeeland from 1979 to 2002, Glenn was affiliated in management with A.D. Bos Company in Holland, Mich. Mr. Buter along with his wife, Ann Ruth, were Charter Members of Bethel Christian Reformed Church in Zeeland, and attended the Covenant United Methodist Church in Lancaster. Prior to leaving the Zeeland area, Glenn was a member of the Gil Karsten American Legion Post and for many years was a manager of the Zeeland Softball Team. He was a life member of BPOE No. 1315 Holland, Mich. An avid Standardbred Horse enthusiast and member of the Michigan Standardbred Breeders Association, he was involved with and a loyal supporter of the Buter Racing Stables. While residing in St. Clairsville, Ohio, and with horses racing at the Meadows in Washington, Pa., he was very active with their Horseman’s Association of which he was a past president. He is survived by four sons, Terry Glenn, husband of Dixie A., Clinton, Mich., Thomas Scott, Lancaster, Pa., Timothy Kevin, husband of Belinda S., Clinton, Mich., and Todd Layne, husband of Lynette M., Manchester, Mich. Also surviving are grandchildren Meegan Jo, Kristy Lynn, Joshua Charles, Jason Glenn, Regina Marie, Tyler Layne and Trevor Lee; great-grandchildren Sage Walker, Spence Robert, Calli Christine and Hayleigh Elizabeth; a sister-in-law, Esther F. Grace L. Hull, 86, of Sturgis, died Thursday, April 22, 2010, at Sturgis Hospital. In 2008, Mrs. Hull moved from Elkhart, Ind., to Sturgis. She was a retired teacher who had taught in Plymouth, Ind., and a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in LaGrange, Ind. Mrs. Hull was born on Jan. 18, 1924, in Renigunta, South India to Rev. Carl M. and Cora (Knupke) Doermann. On August 2, 1947, in Mendota, Ill., she married Dwight C. Hull. He survives in Sturgis. Also surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen and Stephen Becze of Howe, Ind.; five grandchildren; a sister, Ellen Hillmer of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and two brothers, Ralph Doermann of Columbus, Ohio and Alfred Doermann of Taneytown, MD. She was preceded in death by a son, James S. Hull in July 2000; her parents; and a brother, Dr. Paul Doermann. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Monday, at Mount Zion Lutheran Church, 797 N. Herbert "Herb" Nelson Brehmer Bath Age 75, passed away April 24, 2010. He was born October 2, 1934 in Traverse City, MI to Herbert H. and Agda D. (Nelson). Herb graduated from Suttons Bay High School followed by Michigan State University where he earned a degree for Civil Engineering. He retired after 35 years service with the Michigan Department of Transportation. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Rosalyn Adams. James E. Yoder, 82, of Sturgis, Mich., and Weslaco, Texas, passed away Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010, surrounded by his family at the Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco. He was born Aug. 11, 1927, in Nottawa, Mich., a son to the late Ernest and Lovina (Eicher) Yoder. Jim resided in the Sturgis area most of his life. In 1950 he married Jackie Bowen. She preceded him in death on March 23, 1999. On Sept. 25, 2005, he married Mary Reed. He was proud to have served his country in the U.S. Army from 1950-1952 during the Korean War stationed at Fort Bragg, N.C. Following his honorable discharge from the Army he and Jackie returned to Sturgis and resided there and raised their family. Following their retirement he and Jackie began spending their winters in the Rio Grande Valley in Texas. Jim and Mary were currently living in Sturgis and also Winter Texans in Weslaco. In the 1950s and ’60s he was a member of many championship fast pitch softball teams. He was a very talented southpaw first baseman. Jim continued his love of sports encouraging and cheering loudly at his sons athletic events. For many years he umpired Little League Majors baseball games in Sturgis. He loved to run the two lane roads while traveling and took Mary down some interesting roads. Jim was always willing to give of his time to help others and had volunteered at Thurston Woods Village and was a driver for the American Cancer Society in the Valley. He attended the Locust Grove Mennonite Church in Burr Oak. His care and compassion for all his family and friends will be greatly missed but he loved the Lord and has gone home in victory. He would want us to celebrate his life. He is survived by his loving and dedicated wife, Mary; one daughter, Linda (Doug) Large of Sturgis; five sons, Doug (Sue) Yoder of Austin, Texas, Bob (Marilee) Yoder of Sturgis, Steve (his friend Sheryl Putnam) Yoder of Sturgis, Stan (Vicki) Yoder of White Pigeon, Tim (his fiancée Vicky Singleton) Yoder of Sturgis; one step-son, Jeff Moline of Garita, N.M.; two step-daughters, Michelle (Scott) Carr of Sturgis and Alecia Frutig of LaGrange, Ind.; 21 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Ellen Schragg of Kalamazoo and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death parents; wife; two sisters, Lena Reed and Barb Weber; and one brother, Ernest Yoder. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. – 1:15 p.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church in Sturgis where a memorial service celebrating the life of James Yoder will begin at 1:30 p.m. Saturday. He was born March 9, 1948, in Coldwater, the son of Clarence C. and Effie Marie (Smith) Smith. On June 30, 1979, he married Linda M. Schuerman, and she survives. Other survivors include step-son Jeffrey (Samantha) Schuerman of Coldwater, grandchildren Darius and Lyric Schuerman and brother Paul W. Smith of Coldwater. He was preceded in death by sisters Janet Walker and Barbara Cole. Jerry worked at Alcem Aluminum Co., Coldwater. He had also worked at Crotty, Inc., Quincy and Wheel Tech, Fremont, Ind. A U.S. Army veteran, he served from 1966 to 1969 and was stationed in Germany. He enjoyed fishing, playing bingo and deer hunting. Joan M. Smith, 87, of Sturgis, Mich., passed away Wednesday morning, March 17, 2010, at Thurston Woods Village of Sturgis. She was born Aug. 10, 1922, in Sturgis, Mich., a daughter to the late Fred and Cora (Burmeister) Hubner. Joan was a life long resident of Sturgis and a graduate of Sturgis High School with the class of 1940. On June 22, 1979, she married Donald Smith at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Sturgis. She retired from the city following over 20 years as secretary to the city manager. Joan was an active member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Sturgis where for several years she and Don served on the money counting committee and at one time she served as the church secretary. She enjoyed playing the piano, gardening both vegetables and flowers and crocheting. Joan was truly dedicated to her husband and family and was happiest when she was surrounded by each one of them. She is survived by her loving and dedicated husband, Don; one daughter, Kristen Whitesell of Sturgis; two sons, Karl (Mary) Littman of Sturgis and Ronald (Darlene) Littman of San Antonio, Texas; four grandchildren, Kristy Borji, Erika Littman, Megan Zagon and Miranda Whitesell; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sylvia Helzel of Franklin, NC, and Shirley Young of Plantation, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Coral Meyers; and two brothers, Frederick Hubner Jr. and Loren Hubner. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Lillian Anna (Lily) Rood, age 89‚ of Ypsilanti, passed away Thursday, April 22, 2010, at the Arbor Hospice Facility in Ann Arbor, from newly diagnosed acute leukemia. She was born in South Haven on Sept. 27, 1920, a daughter of Edward A. and Glendora (Enlow) Rood. In childhood she was particularly close to her brother Ted, her double cousin Phyllis, and cousins Shirley and Patty. Lily attended Covert High School and graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a bachelor’s degree in music and early-elementary education. She then received her master’s degree in guidance and counseling in 1958. Lily served in the U.S. Army Air Force as a PFC during World War II at Hamilton Field, Calif. Relatives and friends will be received from 12-1 p.m. Tuesdayat the Eley Funeral Home in Centreville, where services will follow at 1 p.m.. He is survived by his wife of 34 ½ years, Pam; his mother-in-law, Joyce Shaw of Hillsdale; two children, Shawn (Christine) DeForest of Lincoln Park and Heather (Kevin) Galioto of Stow, Ohio; six grandchildren, Michael, Roger-Jesse, Alexis, Taylor, Emily and Blake; five siblings, Gary (Kim) DeForest of Concord, Donna (Larry) Reiniche of Pulaski, Ken (Penny) DeForest of Jonesville, Pat (Jody) DeForest of Pulaski and Patty (Bill) Felkey of Pulaski and numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his father-in-law, John Shaw; one sister, Connie DeForest and one grandson, Christian Galioto. Mr. DeForest was a decorated veteran who served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and he retired from the Army Reserves as a Master Sergeant after 20 years of service. He worked for 24 years at Foulke Construction and retired in January 2008. He served as President of Lifeline Food Pantry in Camden and was a member of the Reading Church of the Nazarene, the 199th Charlie Company Infantry and the Vietnam Veterans Association. Mr. DeForest was an avid sports fan at all levels who enjoyed any sport including a ball or a puck. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather and he was a friend to all. He will be missed by all who knew him. A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Roger Earl DeForest will be held at the Hampton-Kurtz Funeral Home in Hillsdale at 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 22 with Pastor David Tran officiating. Interment with military honors will take place in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Hillsdale. The family will receive friends for visitation from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home in Hillsdale. William F. ‘Butch’ Marnell Aug. 2, 1948 — April 9, 2010 William F. “Butch” Marnell, 61, of Commerce City, Colorado, passed away Thursday, April 9, 2010, at his home after a long battle with cancer. He was born Aug. 2, 1948, in Detroit, to Francis L. Marnell and Shirley J. (Kittle) Marnell. He married Christine Davis in Westminster, Colorado, and she survives. Butch lived in the North Adams and Addison area for several years before moving to Colorado 34 years ago. He graduated from North Adams High School in 1966. He worked for Kelsey Hayes in Jackson, then he worked for the Detroit News and then the Rocky Mountain News for 28 years, where he was a Foreman and Union President. Butch enjoyed playing the piano and guitar. He was an avid Denver Broncos fan where he always watched their games in his garage. He also enjoyed motorcycles and fishing. Surviving, besides his wife Christine, are two daughters, Michelle (Scott) Schultz of Jonesville, Carrie Marcum of Commerce City, Colo.; one son, William F. (Melissa) Marnell Jr. of Osseo; two stepchildren, Kelly Davis of Phoenix, Ariz., Denise Mauney of Oregon; his mother and stepfather, Shirley and Royce Russell of Onsted; two sisters, Bonnie Potts of Addison, Shelly (John) Stanton of Coldwater; one brother, Dennis (Diana) Marnell of Manitou Beach; 12 grandchildren; several nephews, nieces and cousins. Paul Herman, 74, of Morenci passed away Friday, April 23, 2010, at Bixby Medical Center in Adrian. He was born on Nov. 10, 1935, in Ottoville, Ohio, the son of Othmar and Emma (Smith) Herman. On June 23, 1959, in Madison he married Patricia DeLongchamp and she survives. Paul has lived in Morenci since 1994. He was formerly employed at American Chain and Cable in Adrian as a tool setter from where he retired in 1986. Paul served his country during the Korean War in the Air Force. He was a member of the Morenci American Legion #368, a life member of the Adrian VFW, and a life member of the Korean War Veterans. Besides his wife, Pat, Paul is survived by a daughter, Teresa (David) Earles of Tecumseh; a son, Paul (Lorilie) Herman of Columbus, Ohio; two grandchildren, Rachel and Matthew Earles; six sisters, Carol (Ora) Hatcher of Sylvania, Ohio, Joyce (Mike) Dwyer of Morenci, Mary Ellen Davis of Adrian, Delores Rayer of North Branch, Minn., Lillian Warren (Rollin Lauber) of Hudson, and Diana (William) Mundhenk of Fayette, Ohio; three brothers, Richard Herman of Tennessee, Robert (Ingrid) Herman of California, and David Davis (Joan Hood) of Tucson, Ariz.; three half-sisters, Vicki Herman, Gayle (Lyle) Clark and Karen Herman; two half-brothers, Charles Herman and Daniel Herman; two sisters-in-law, Elizabeth DeLongchamp and Lois Evans both of Adrian; and many nieces and nephews. Paul was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Henry Davis; a sister, Clara Jeanette Herman; two brothers, Oscar and Edward Herman; and two brothers-in-law, Robert and William DeLongchamp. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 27, 2010, at 11 a.m. at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Morenci with Fr. Gary Ferguson officiating. There will be no visitation. Samuel “Jeff” Lawrence, age 87, of Tecumseh passed away April 23, 2010. He was born Feb. 27, 1923, in Paris, Tenn., the son of Colonel Dewey and Nellie (Calloway) Lawrence. She later married Richard Pressler. He also preceded her in death in July 1998. Sara was a resident of Branch County for the past 30 years coming from Huntington, Ind. She had worked as a Registered Nurse at the Lutheran Hospital in Ft. Wayne and at Maple Lawn Medical Care Facility in Coldwater for many years. Her last job was at Azle Manor in Azle, Texas, where she had lived for a few years. Sara was a member of the Church of Christ in Bronson. She enjoyed her jewelry, purses, mood lipstick, crocheting, and going out to eat. Sara is survived by daughters Sharon Kay (Warren) Wade of Burr Oak, Kenet K. (Phillip) DuBois of Coldwater and Lee-Anor (Jeffry) Roudebush-Martin of Coldwater, sons Rodney Ray Roudebush of Azle, Texas and Larry Lee Roudebush of Florida, sister Betty Ann Fisher of Huntington, Ind. and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to both of her husbands, Sara was also preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Church of Christ in Bronson. Susan (Sue) Marie Gowen Hendricks, 58, of Woodstock, Ga., died Wednesday, April 21, 2010. Ms. Hendricks was born in Flint and lived in Cobb County for the past 28 years. She was employed at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital for the past 20 years, attending college during this time while she earned her degree in nursing. She had been a member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church for the past 28 years. Sue loved to read, visit and spoil her grandchildren and attend church and plays. She was a loving daughter, mother and grandmother. She was selfless and always ready to help a friend in need. She enjoyed writing and making cards for friends and family. Sue will be dearly missed. Psalms 37:5: Depend on the Lord, trust him, and he will take care of you. Survivors include a daughter, Lisa Mosley, and husband, Gordon, of Acworth, Ga.; a son, Tim Hendricks, and wife, Amanda of Richmond Hill, Ga.; her mother, Geraldine Zarza of Marietta, Ga.; a brother, Larry Gowen; grandchildren Cole and Jack Hendricks; nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Sadie. She was preceded in death by her father, Urban Gowen, and stepfather, Ray Zarza. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at St. Andrew United Methodist Church in Marietta.
