Elizabeth Kathleen Marie Kinney Lansing Born on September 20, in Pontiac, MI. God looked around his garden and found an empty space. He looked down upon Earth and saw a tired face. He put his arm around you and lifted you to rest. God's garden must be beautiful for He only takes the best. He knew that you were weary and He knew you were in pain, He knew that you would never be well on Earth again. He saw the road was getting rough and the hills were too hard to climb, So He closed your weary eyelids and whispered, "Peace Be Thine." Kathleen left to be with the Lord on Friday, August 14, 2009 after her courageous battle with cancer. She participated in the MSU research for cancer to benefit the future of all women. She is preceded in death by her father Richard Kinney, brother Robert Kinney, sister Sharon Kinney. She is survived by her mother Marilyn Kinney; sister Jean of Texas; 6 brothers and their wives Dick (Hazel), Rick, Ron (Suzanne), Mike (Cathy), John (Becky), Kevin (Tori), and 10 nieces and 11 nephews and several great-nieces and nephews. Loren W. Fisher’s life began in Adamsville, Mich., on Aug. 19, 1926.  He attended White Pigeon schools and graduated with the class of 1945. He was very proud of his military service serving his country in the U.S. Army in World War II, and his lifetime membership in the American Legion. On June 3, 1950, he married Marjorie Day in Constantine.  He and Marjorie had two children, LuAnn Fisher Seely of Sturgis and David Fisher of Three Rivers.  Loren began working for the United States Postal Service in 1948, where he worked as a clerk and later as a rural mail carrier until retiring in 1981.  He later enjoyed years of farming and co-owning Dave’s Marine Center in both Constantine and Three Rivers.   Twenty-five years were spent with Marjorie wintering in Florida and summering on Long Lake.  His three grandchildren, Analyse Seely, Thomas and Meagan Fisher, and one great-grandson, Carter, gave him much joy.  Loren’s family also included several nieces and nephews.  He was happiest outside hunting, fishing, and cutting wood.   Loren died at Rose Arbor Hospice in Kalamazoo on Aug. 12, 2009, after a very brief three-week illness.  His parents, Lewis and Emma (Lee) Fisher, a brother, and two sisters preceded him in death.  According to his wishes, cremation has taken place.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.   |

Robert W. Dingman February 22, 1930 - July 12, 2009 Quiet determination, unsurpassed courage, and enduring kindness marked Robert "Bob" Dingman's life. Through his extraordinary patience and encouragement, he inspired all he touched, but especially his beloved family, wife of 32 years, Anne, daughter Shelley and husband Bob Muusse, son, Kipp, daughter, Leslie Desimini, and grandchildren Carly, Wilson and Austin. His gentle dignity and uncomplaining nature until his last breath will never be forgotten by anyone privileged to have met him. Bob possessed remarkable athleticism that included All State designations in multiple sports for multiple years before his graduation from Saginaw Arthur Hill High School in 1948 and then as an offensive and defensive end on the University of Michigan Football team. He was an outstanding student/athlete at U of M where he graduated in 1953 with a degree in Business Administration. These remarkable achievements didn't diminish his exceptional compassion and ability to positively affect young people which was evident when he left business after a few years and became a teacher/coach. He taught and coached in Milan, MI, served as Superintendent in Central Lake, MI, as well as counselor/coach in Owosso, MI and Lansing Eastern High School. But he also continued to help others through his involvement with Rotary, the American Cancer Society and many years as "Captain Bob" to the young campers at Camp Quality. His teaching, coaching and counseling will live on through his many students and players, who will remember him for the lifetime commitment to values of benevolence, perseverance and striving to reach one's goals.
