the Hillsdale Community Health Center.  He was born in Lucky Strike,
Alberta, Canada, on Oct. 10, 1918, to Earl James and Luella Maud
(Thompson) Hughes and graduated from Jonesville High School in 1939. 
Alfred married Carolee J. Ellis on June 27, 1943, and they began their
married life farming in Bronson for seven years, then moved to Boone

He was born April 14, 1956, in Coldwater, a son of Kenneth M. and

L. Brannon, 79, of Flat Rock died at the U of M Hospital in Ann Arbor
as the result of an auto accident on Wednesday, September 10, 2008.
E. Smith, age 59, of Adrian, passed away Friday, Sept. 12, 2008, at St.
Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor. He was born on Sept. 10, 1949, in
Toledo, Ohio, the son of Emery Robert and Vivian (Skaggs) Smith. After
graduating from Rossford High School with the Class of 1967, he
attended Bowling Green State University before completing his Bachelor
of Education and Music degree at Siena Heights University. On July 22,
