Mary Jean Norris

Wednesday, February 10, 2010 6:38 AM

Mary Jean Norris Mary Jean Norris, age 81, of Fort Myers, Florida, formerly of Rochester Hills, went peacefully home to be with the Lord on January 31, 2010, in Fort Myers. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Jean was raised by her father, James Stutzman, who was Lockmaster for the U. S. Dam #37 on the Ohio River, and her beloved mother, Mary. A graduate of Miami University of Ohio, she married Richard E. Marshall of Cleveland and moved to Warren, Mich., where she taught elementary school for the Warren Consolidated Schools for 35 years. Jean found great joy in devoting her life to education and realizing the dream of seeing all of her children and grandchildren graduate from college and beyond. In her later years, she ministered to hundreds of people by providing books to anyone she saw in need. Her compassion and sensitivity to God's voice led her to give away thousands of books over the years to family, friends, neighbors and strangers alike.
