Never has there been a more loyal Notre Dame football fan. His love of the Irish never diminished even though their winning record did. While at Notre Dame, he joined ROTC and was ranked a Lieutenant. After graduation he was stationed at Fort Leonard Wood, MO. Most of Larry’s working career took place at Tecumseh Products retiring after 34 years of service. Until he became ill, his favorite hobbies were playing bridge at the Moose and kibitzing with the boys at the American Legion. These interests he shared with his wife, Karen. Also left to cherish his memory are daughter Trisha Boyd and Tim Good, grandchildren Will Boyd V and Emmaline Boyd, step children Chris (Holly) Snyder and Stacy (Chuck) Strouse, step grandchildren Alex, Mary Grace and Brooke Snyder and Joe and Spencer Strouse; special friends Tom Durkin, who exemplifies the meaning of visiting the sick and Dan Forche who, with his great sense of humor and kindness, brought much happiness to Larry and Karen. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2010, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father Bob Schramm presiding. Burial of cremains will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 5, 2010, from 4-8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, 3050 W.
