DOLORES EVE GOUGH FLORIDA Dolores Eve Gough, age 78, of Marion County, Florida, previously a Bridgehampton Township resident in the Carsonville area, passed away Wednesday, March 25, in her home after a short illness. Dolores Wisienski was born in Chicago, Illinois, on December 24, 1930, to Frank and Katherine (Rumak) Wisienski. She married Trayton Junior Gough on December 20, 1950, in Deckerville. She was proud to be a farmer's wife and a homemaker who enjoyed being outdoors in the fresh air. She loved working on the family farm and tending her flower and vegetable gardens. Many of the thousands of citrus trees on their grove in Florida, she grew root stock from seed, then grafted and budded the many different varieties to the root stock and finally, helped hand pick many of the thousands of boxes of fruit each year. She took great pride in these productive trees. And the fresh squeezed orange juice was pretty darn good also! She was gifted at getting plants and flowers to grow. She would look for unusual and unique plants, propagate them from seeds or cuttings and the flowers that followed were always superb! She also enjoyed the Western and the Sci-Fi Channels on TV. Surviving are her husband of 58 years, Trayton Junior (Jr.), two sons; William (Christine) of Bay City and Trayton John (TJ) of Paisley, Florida, a very special daughter-in-law; Koko of Altoona, Florida, five grandchildren; Wil (Stacey) Gough of Mayville, Cindy (Daniel) Vincent of Utah, Sandi Gough of Utah, Kristie Stone of Deckerville and Nikki LaRue (Jerry) of Summerville, Tennessee, nine great grandchildren; Ryan, Trevor, Tyler, Austin, Alyssa, Kyle, Gabe, Lucas, and Lana. She is also survived by many sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, nieces and nephews. Dolores was predeceased by her mother, Katherine, father, Frank, her brother, Edward Wisienski and grandson Jeremy Gough. The Gough family would like to express their thanks and appreciation to Cecil Hamill, formerly with the Sanilac County Bank, for his confidence in their abilities and his financial assistance by investing in Dolores & Trayton's Michigan Dairy and later crop farming operation. They farmed in Bridgehampton Township for 27 years. This eventually provided them with the financial ability to invest in their Florida orange groves where they have enjoyed living and working for the last 23 years in the sunshine of Florida's great outdoors. The family would like to extend their heart felt thanks to Koko for her love and care of Dolores in her final days. A celebration of life for Dolores E. Gough was held at the Apsey Funeral Home, your "Legacy of Life" funeral home with Fr. Charles Hammon officiating. Burial was in Downing Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to

SAMUEL C. BAKER LEXINGTON On Saturday, March 28, 2009, quietly and privately, as he lived his life, Samuel C. Baker, departed from his earthly home to join other family members and loved ones. He was predeceased by his wife Ruth, his sister Christine, five brothers, two nephews Charles Richard and Roblee. During his last hours, the tears flowed freely from those who loved him best and while there will be emptiness in their lives, the memories will remain strong, as was the man himself. His story-telling tales were entertaining, his laughter infectious, his appreciation of good food and especially chocolate pie well-known, and his interest in hunting and dogs more than a hobby. He was many things to many people. To his hunting friends, he will be remembered as "The Coon Man", to family members Uncle Charles, to neighbors simple "Sam". He served his country as a Staff Sgt. in the Army during WWII receiving many commendations and awards. He was loved by many, and is survived byone sister; Minnie (Bill) Trombley and his very special friends, Linda & Buck Lashbrook and Trudy, and two stepdaughters. His nieces and nephews were his family and to those who loved him the best, he will always be missed but when remembered it will be with a smile. Per his request there will be no visitation or service. Arrangements made by Pomeroy Funeral Home, Lexington.
