IN LOVING MEMORY OF Roger B. Hancock 11/16/1930-4/17/1996 He Only Takes The Best God saw he was getting tired and a cure was not to be, So He put His arms around him and whispered "Come with me." With tear-filled eyes we watched him suffer and fade away. Although we loved him deeply, we could not make him stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands put to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best. Loved and missed, every single day! Antonietta and Family

WININGER RONALD LARRY SR

75, of Wales, died Sunday, April 12, 2009 at Port Huron Hospital. What unimaginable joy he must have felt upon awakening Easter morning to see the face of his Savior and hear the words, "Welcome home, Son !" Ronald was born November 14, 1933 in Hartford, Arkansas, the son of Mary (Lewis) and the late Vernon Wininger. Although he grew up during the Depression, he often spoke of how wonderful his home life was during that time and the closeness of his extended family. He loved to reminisce about the delicious meals that Granny and Mother would make and the evenings spent playing games and talking. He graduated from Detroit's Eastern High School in 1951. Ronald served in the Air Force from 1951 to 1959 and was stationed in Korea for a time. On March 21, 1959, Ronald married Patricia Dupuy. Patricia was literally the girl next door! The couple just recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. From 1963 to 2007, Ronald owned R.L. Wininger & Co., which eventually became the largest private detective agency in Michigan. In his later years, Ronald became an avid golfer. He loved the game and would often play 36 holes a day. But Ronald's greatest joy was his family. Nothing gave him more pleasure than having everyone gathered together at his home. He took special pride in being Poppa to his two grandsons, Alexander and Jacob, who were an endless source of enjoyment and amusement. Ronald is survived by his wife, Patricia; daughter, Rebecca (Ronald) Bommarito; son, Ronald, Jr. (Donna); mother, Mary Dodge; brother, Thomas (Karen) Wininger; sister, Linda (Thomas) Pool; grandsons, Alexander and Jacob Bommarito; grandchildren, Hollie (Kurtis) Blake, Paul Bommarito, Collin and McKenna Cichocki; and beloved friend, Jodi (Daniel) Dunsmore, and their children, Zachary, Garrett and Hannah.
