Beatrice Elizabeth Campbell

Beatrice Elizabeth Campbell Age 100, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2010. She was born February 1, 1910, in Battle Creek, Michigan, the 2nd of 6 children born to Dennis and Grace (Hewitt) Struble. Bea was a modern woman living a very accomplished life of employment. She met the gentleman of her dreams, George Campbell and they were married on April 5, 1930. They enjoyed 64 years of marriage. George and Bea became parents to 5 sons; David, Gerry, Norm, Dan, and Brian. George and Bea loved to take trips together, quite often taking a grandchild or two with them. They spent winters in Charlotte Harbor, FL for many years. Bea was very creative; sewing dolls, crocheting frogs, painting ceramics, sketching pictures, painting pictures, and loved to bake cookies for her family. She was an avid Bridge player, and loved gathering with her friends to play. Keeping up with the times was a fact of life for Bea, using her computer to keep in touch with family by emails, and pictures, and writing her family story for publication. Bea's family was first and foremost to her heart. She is survived by sons David (Edna), Gerry (Shirley), daughter-in-law, Wilma, Dan, and Brian (Sharon); 17 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; 23 great- great grandchildren with 2 more due in 2011; nephew Jack Skirvin who was raised as a sibling; many very special nieces and nephews, and cousins, and friends. She is predeceased by husband; George; son, Norman; daughter-in-law, Judy; great-grandsons, David C. Tuckey & Corey Campbell; her siblings, Geraldine, Wilma, Thyra, Robert and Raymond. A celebration of Bea's life will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 4, at the First Congregational Church of Olivet, with Greg Morrison officiating. Visitation will be Monday, January 3, 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte. Betty Lou Rench Leonidas Betty Lou Rench, age 71 of Leonidas, died Friday Dec. 31, 2010 at her home following a one-year illness. Betty was welcomed into the Ernsberger family on Nov. 17, 1939 by her parents, Alva "Jack" and Irene (Cutshall) Ernsberger. She attended school in Battle Creek before the family moved to a farm near Fulton, then attended Vicksburg schools. Betty worked in the nursing profession most of her life, and retired from the Vicksburg Hospital after working there for 20 years. Betty was married to David Rench in 1977. Betty enjoyed attending several area dances and shows with David where he played the fiddle. They spent many winters in southern Texas and have met many good native Texans and winter residents. She enjoyed playing bingo, crossword puzzles, and needle-point. Betty is survived by her husband, David; daughter, Janet Edmondson of Leonidas; step-daughters, Deborah Keefe and Elizabeth Crabtree both of Battle Creek and Theresa Hawkins of Colon; step-son, Davey Rench of Leonidas; sisters, Shirley Titus and Martha Goodwin both of Battle Creek and Mary Foreman of South Carolina; 5 grandchildren; 6 step-grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Pamela (Barrus) Everett; a son, Ronald Lane; 2 grandsons, Monte Wolfe and Jackie Edmondson, Jr.; great-grandson, Eric Wolfe; 2 brothers, Raymond and Donald; half-sisters, Irene, Marie, and Vivian; and half-brother, James. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Eickhoff Funeral Home in Mendon. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday Jan. 4, 2011 at the funeral home with Rev. Clarey Rita Mae July 22, 1926 - October 1, 2010. Rita's spirit has risen to heaven to meet her God, her husband and eldest son who preceded her in death. Soon she will be a part of a very special and long awaited McCrady Reunion with her parents and 10 brothers and sisters. Her death will bring to close a generation whose memories we will all cherish. Her last days were spent in the peace and comfort of her home in Sparks, Nevada with her daughter Peggy Clarey and son-in-law, Fred Conner. Rita was born at the farm on Pumping Station Road. Fairfield County, Ohio. She grew up in Sugar Grove, Ohio, attended and graduated from Berne Union School in Sugar Grove, Ohio. Rita was the youngest child born to Charles and Rosemary (Shonebarger) McCrady. Rita was married to Wilbert A. Clarey for 56 years before his death in 2006. At that time she moved to Nevada to live with her only daughter. She had four children: Daniel (Linda), Peggy (Fred), Bruce (Alise), and Andrew (Laura). She had six male grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was a Nurses Aid at Garden City Osteopathic Hospital for over 20 Years. G.C.O.H. is located less that one block from the family Home on Cardwell Street, Garden City, Michigan. Her interests included playing cards, bingo, casino gambling and creating Jewelry Pictures. With "Web", she became an active and enthusiastic member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, starting in the mid 50's at Johnsons Post #78, on Joy Road in Detroit, Michigan, and ending her service at Battle Born Post #9211 on VFW Historic Lane in Reno, Nevada. She was anointed by Father Norman King from the Immaculate Conception Church. Her remains will be at the Glen Eden Memorial Park, Livonia, Michigan. Instead of flowers or gifts, remembrances can be PAID FORWARD.

David P. Heemsoth Battle Creek David P. Heemsoth, 70, of Battle Creek, formerly of Marshall, died on Monday, December 27, 2010, at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo. David was born on July 11, 1940, in Marshall to Lyle and Elva (Rocho) Heemsoth. He graduated from Marshall High School in 1958. In 1961, he married Doreen Mitchell. Their marriage ended in divorce. David worked as a sheet metal journeyman for 26 years with the Kellogg Company retiring in 1999. He also worked for Murray Engineering for several years, and a short time at Union Pump. David was a member of the Marshall Moose Lodge #676, and the National Rifle Association. When David was younger, he was a member of the Future Farmers of America, and he enjoyed raising beef cattle. He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting and fishing. He also was an avid gun collector, and enjoyed going to gun shows. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Nick and Tammy Heemsoth of Marshall; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Jeff Dorton; two grandchildren, Kristin Dorton, Jacob Dorton; two step-grandchildren, Amy (Jeff) Barnes, Jason Bibler. He is also survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Judy Heemsoth of Marshall; two nieces, Julie (Pete) Corralez, and Joy Heemsoth. He was preceded by his parents. The family will gather with friends to celebrate David's life at the Marshall Moose Lodge at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 8, 2011. Henry F. Nobbs Marshall Henry F. Nobbs, age 85, of Marshall, died peacefully at his home on Friday, December 31, 2010. Henry was born January 11, 1925 in Cleveland, Oklahoma. He graduated from Cleveland High School in 1943. After graduation he entered the, where he became a member of the Submarine Service. Henry served on the USS Guardfish, the USS Dentuda and USS Lamprey during WWII. He was honorably discharged and moved to Marshall in 1947. He was recalled to service during the, and served on USS Clamagore and USS Silverside (which is now on display in Muskegon) during the Korean War until again being honorably discharged in 1952. On January 11, 1949, he was married to Loretta M. Beattie in Marshall. Henry was a devoted and loving husband who cared for his wife faithfully during her long illness until she passed away in 2004. Henry was affectionately called "Nobby" by all. He started his career with the City Of Marshall Street Department on September 17, 1950. It was interrupted for 2 years when he was recalled to military duty. He served for many years as the Street Department Superintendant. He retired on June 1, 1987. Henry served his community as an on call firefighter with the Marshall Fire Department from 1963 until 1983. He and his wife Loretta were founding members of Christ Lutheran Church of Marshall in 1969. Henry was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by his son, Victor (Denise) Nobbs; his 3 daughters, Diana Stuart, Ella (Charles) Larder and Patricia (Michael) Murphy all of Marshall; 7 grandchildren, Jason (James Camp) Nobbs, Jennifer (Josh) Uldriks, Daniel (Rachel) Larder, Steven (Tamaria) Larder Kenneth (Arynn) Murphy, Scott Murphy and Amanda (Benjamin) Creighton; 14 great-grandchildren, Grant Larder, Grace Larder, Jevin Uldriks, Jorja Uldriks, Isabella Larder, Leeland and Mackenzie Murphy, Delilah Creighton, Megan, Blake and Jackson Larder, Jacob and Rachelle Camp, and Bradley Hammond; his sister, Ada L. Ameen will be remembered for changing the look of photography by capturing the powerful faces of everyday people in a compelling way. He will also be remembered for his charisma and the way he touched people on a personal level. Jacqueline Jean (Adair) Geouque Avon Park, FL Jacqueline Jean (Adair) Geouque, 78, of Avon Park, Florida, passed away on December 28, 2010. She was born in Indiana and grew up in Kalamazoo, Michigan. After graduating from Western Michigan University, she became a teacher. On July 24, 1954, Jackie married Ron Geouque of Battle Creek. They had two children, and she was very active in her children's lives, serving as president of Riverside Elementary and Highland Junior High's PTAs. After inspiring sixth grade students for many years in the Lakeview School District, she was awarded Teacher of the Year in 1988. Jackie was also involved in the BC Area Lioness Organization and won a top ten award during her presidency. In addition to Ron, she is survived by a son, Jeff (Nancy) of Knoxville, TN, and daughter, Melanie Muller (Pete) of Leesburg, VA, six grandchildren, and a great-granddaughter. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Monday, January 3, 2011 at the Richard A. Lieselotte Margarethe Sandovale Battle Creek Lieselotte (Lisa) M. Sandovale, née Schweitzer, age 73, passed away on December 29, 2010 after a courageous battle against lung cancer. Surviving are her daughters Christa Monique Sandovale residing in Frankfurt, Germany, Sandra Kathleen Spiering (Sandovale), married to Lt. Col. Patrick Spiering, her grandchildren Gabriella and Joshua, residing in Huntingtown, Maryland and her ex-husband, Joe Sandovale, residing in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Lisa was born near Düsseldorf, Germany, on April 3, 1937, to Gertrud née Gross, and Hilarius Schweitzer. Over the years she traveled extensively throughout the United States, England as well as Europe. While working in Paris, France, she met her future husband, who was stationed in Würzburg, Germany at the time. Lisa and Joe were married from 1966 to 1980. She was employed at EPI Printers for 28 years as an Accountant and Estimator. She retired in 2003. Her greatest passion was table tennis which she enjoyed for many years, earning numerous medals at the Senior Olympics. Spending time with her German and Austrian friends, whether traveling or hosting parties, brought her great joy as well. These friendships gave her immense comfort and strength during the past year. Lisa's other hobbies were photography, gardening and working in her yard. She loved to share her knowledge of flowers and plants with anyone who would listen. Memorial Service will take place at Farley Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home 3:30 p.m. Monday, January 3, 2011. He worked first as an associate of George Goodheart, founder of Applied Kinesiology and later practiced privately in Birmingham for 25 years. His ability to reach bodies, hearts and minds was legendary. Rob was gifted at articulating the pilgrimage towards consciousness. Rob was the enthusiastic president of Kirkwood Lake Association for 20 years. Rob loved to fish with his brothers and friends on the beautiful Michigan waterways. All those who knew Rob knew he was the facilitator of fun and joy and true engagement in life. Survived by beloved wife Lynn and daughters Sarah and Alyssa. Williams (Nee Kramer, Josephone Mabel

Williams Josephine Mabel (Nee Kramer) Age 80 of Utica, died peacefully Saturday, October 2, 2010 after a 7 year battle with Alzheimer's. She is survived by her only daughter Donna (Michael) Kemper, her niece Marie (David) Vanker, and her nephews John Kramer and Raymond (Yvonne) Kramer plus several grandnieces and grandnephews. Jo graduated from Capac High School in 1948 and worked for Sears for 32 years. She loved gardening and animals. Funeral Service 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Wm.
