Protect him, This is my prayer, From thoughtless words, From cruel stares. For now... He s sweetly unaware.

Widely known were Gordon's twinkling eyes, love of family, farming, "imaginative" jokes and mechanical interest. He enjoyed aviation and was a private pilot for many years. His pride and joy was a 1952 John Deere R purchased new in 1951 and held to this day. A private family gathering proceeded cremation. An informal Celebration of Gordon's life will be held at the Delaware Township Hall, 7979 Maple Grove, Minden City, MI 48427, on Sunday, March 8 from 1-4 pm. In lieu of flowers the family is asking memorials to be made to Home & Hospice Advantage, 5986 E. Cass City Road, Cass City, MI 48726 or Friends of The Thumb Octagon Barn, P.O. Box 145, Gagetown MI 48735.
