Alice V. Johnson

Alice V. Johnson Sarasota, FL Alice V. Johnson, 82, died on December 4, 2010 in Sarasota, Florida. She was born December 25, 1927 in Ionia, Michigan, the daughter of Robert and Virginia Weisgerber. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Phillip; children, Katherine Biltz (J) and Thomas Johnson (Marie); grandchildren, Austin Biltz, Andre Levy and Allison Johnson; and great-granddaughter, Nina Levy. Also, by her sister, Jean Storey of Chelsea, Michigan, and her brother, Stuart Weisgerber of Ionia, Michigan Alice and Phil lived much of their married life in Brazil, Belgium and Jamaica. Always ready to offer her time to volunteer organizations, Alice's generous and caring spirit endeared her to all she met. Her broad-minded approach to life and fun-loving nature made her a good friend to her children and grandchildren, as well as a supportive mother. She will be sorely missed by friends and family, but will never be far from our thoughts and memories. A memorial service is being planned for Ionia, Michigan after the holidays, with interment in the family plot at Tuttle Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Senior Friendship Center, Brother Geenen Way, Sarasota, Florida and or to Tidwell Hospice, 5955 Rand Road in Sarasota.

Clarey Rita Mae July 22, 1926 - October 1, 2010. Rita's spirit has risen to heaven to meet her God, her husband and eldest son who preceded her in death. Soon she will be a part of a very special and long awaited McCrady Reunion with her parents and 10 brothers and sisters. Her death will bring to close a generation whose memories we will all cherish. Her last days were spent in the peace and comfort of her home in Sparks, Nevada with her daughter Peggy Clarey and son-in-law, Fred Conner. Rita was born at the farm on Pumping Station Road. Fairfield County, Ohio. She grew up in Sugar Grove, Ohio, attended and graduated from Berne Union School in Sugar Grove, Ohio. Rita was the youngest child born to Charles and Rosemary (Shonebarger) McCrady. Rita was married to Wilbert A. Clarey for 56 years before his death in 2006. At that time she moved to Nevada to live with her only daughter. She had four children: Daniel (Linda), Peggy (Fred), Bruce (Alise), and Andrew (Laura). She had six male grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was a Nurses Aid at Garden City Osteopathic Hospital for over 20 Years. G.C.O.H. is located less that one block from the family Home on Cardwell Street, Garden City, Michigan. Her interests included playing cards, bingo, casino gambling and creating Jewelry Pictures. With "Web", she became an active and enthusiastic member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, starting in the mid 50's at Johnsons Post #78, on Joy Road in Detroit, Michigan, and ending her service at Battle Born Post #9211 on VFW Historic Lane in Reno, Nevada. She was anointed by Father Norman King from the Immaculate Conception Church. Her remains will be at the Glen Eden Memorial Park, Livonia, Michigan. Instead of flowers or gifts, remembrances can be PAID FORWARD.

Lee L. Denniston Sr. Lee L. Denniston Sr. age 74 went home peacefully on December 7 surrounded by his family. Mr. Denniston was born on May 20, 1936 to A.M. and Leah (Steinhuff) Denniston. Lee graduated from Olivet High School. He was a machinist for the United States Air Force. He retired in 2000, moving back to Marshall shortly after retirement from San Antonio, Texas. Lee liked working in his garden, riding his "little tractors" and working on small engines. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Lee is survived by his wife of 53 years Mary Jane (Gallihugh). Four children, Lee L. Denniston Jr. of Olivet, Jim (Terrie) Denniston of Charlotte, Brenda (Jerry) Grosselin of Cincinnati and Barbara (Jerry) Alvarado of San Antonio. He had eleven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Douglas Paul Denniston, his parents, six brothers and four sisters. He worked first as an associate of George Goodheart, founder of Applied Kinesiology and later practiced privately in Birmingham for 25 years. His ability to reach bodies, hearts and minds was legendary. Rob was gifted at articulating the pilgrimage towards consciousness. Rob was the enthusiastic president of Kirkwood Lake Association for 20 years. Rob loved to fish with his brothers and friends on the beautiful Michigan waterways. Suzanne L. (Noonan) Pollitt Lansing Suzanne L. (Noonan) Pollitt passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2010 age 77 years. She is survived by three sons, Daniel (Amy) Noonan, Kevin and Thomas (Therese) Noonan; special nephew and dear friend, Patrick Cusick; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Elizabeth (John) Cusick; sisters-in-law, Anita and Patty; brother-in-law, James; and numerous nieces and nephews.
