Helen E. Pauli Helen E. Pauli, age 90, a longtime Center Line resident died Thursday, February 4, at Mount Clemens Regional Hospital. She was born May 18, 1919 in St. Louis, Illinois. Helen worked over 25 years at Warren Chateau Banquet Center as a waitress. She was a member and Past President of VFW Ladies Auxiliary #6756 and MOCA #16. Helen was a Polka Booster and was a detailed perfectionist at her fine art crafts which she enjoyed doing. She is survived by her son, Leonard; daughter-in law, Diane (late Jack) Pauli; grandmother of Joan (Dan) Suddon, and Kristina (Paul) Witt; greatgrandchildren, Daniel and Jennifer Suddon, Jacob and Cody Witt; and granddog "Duker". Also survived by her brother, Rudolf Muckenthaler; and dearest cousin, Rose Ponke. She was predeceased by her husband, Leonard. Jay T. Wilson, age 85, of Adrian, Mich., went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Feb. 4, 2010. He was born on Dec. 29, 1924, in Coffee County, Tenn., to Henderson F. and Ruby Irene Wilson. His family came to Michigan when he was a young child. He grew up in the Morenci area and attended Sand Creek High school.  Jay married Nora B. Myers in Hudson, Mich., on Aug. 26, 1942, and she survives. Jay was a member of the Fairfield Baptist Church where he served the Lord faithfully for many years. He served his community as a seventeen year member of the Fairfield Township Volunteer Fire Department. Jay was part of the “Greatest Generation” and served his country honorably during World War II as an infantry soldier in the Pacific Theater. He retired from Bohn Aluminum in 1987 after 42 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, traveling and Yankee Baseball. Jay was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was deeply loved and respected by his family. He has wonderfully left his family the strong values of faith in the Lord, love of country, diligence in work, honesty, integrity, devotion to family and respect for others. Surviving Jay, in addition to his wife, Nora of 67 ½ years, are two daughters, Sharon Kay (Nick) Terry of Adrian, Barbara Sue (Jim) Burrow of Columbia, Tenn.; and three sons, Gerald Lee (Judy) Wilson of New Hope. Minn., James Laverne (Carol) Wilson of Maplewood, Minn., and Douglas Earl (Sue) Wilson of Fenton, Mich.; fourteen grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, I.C., Junior and Donald Wilson. Funeral services for Jay will be held on Monday Feb. 8, 2010, at 11 a.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, Adrian, with Reverend Steven Boley officiating. Interment will be in Fairfield Cemetery with full military rites conducted by the V.F.W. Annis-Fint Post #1584. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, Adrian. You may send condolences to the family at www.andersonfuneralhomeadriantecumseh.com.
