Steve Lewis LeVeck, age 52, of Spring Lake met Jesus Feb. 8, 2010, after an extended illness. Steve is survived by his wife and the love of his life, Darlene. They just celebrated their 33rd anniversary. Steve is also survived by their five children, spouses and six grandchildren. Daughter Rachel her husband Logan Bruursema and son Mack Steven. His daughter, Heidi and her husband Aaron Robison and their daughters Raegan and Addysen. His daughter, Holly, and her husband Brad O’Brien and their sons Lance Patrick and Brady Steven. His son Seth and his wife Chelsea and their son Jackson Lewis. And his 15-year-old son, Ethan Josiah. His brother Patrick Green, and his mother Patricia Murphey, received their eternal reward before him. Steve had an intimate relationship with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He lived a life of integrity, conviction, forgiveness, mercy, and most evidently … love. He believed in the best in all he met and encouraged without regard for his personal circumstances. Real in every sense of the word, he always encouraged his children to “Press on,” “Use Discretion,” “Never say can’t … say how can I,” when it comes to your relationship with Christ … “make it personal,” and “we’re not here to see through each other, but to see each other through.” He loved Hebrews 12:1-2. Steve loved reading, learning, being with people, eating warm butterscotch pudding, and life. Steve was born on Jan. 16, 1958, in Hudson, Mich., to parents Patricia Murphey (deceased) and Myron LeVeck. Steve was a paramedic for 28 years and a passionate entrepreneur. He was currently employed at North Ottawa Hospital in Grand Haven, Mich. He founded his own business consulting company, Priorities. The name reflects a core value of his life. He was raised in Morenci, Mich., where he graduated in 1976. He was active in school, and co-captain of the football team. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 12, 2010, at Spring Lake Wesleyan Church, 15550 Cleveland St., Spring Lake. His brother, the Rev. Nate Elarton, of Temperance, Mich., and the Rev.
