Alan Eugene Waller Sr. Alan Eugene Waller Sr., age 81, a longtime resident of Warren, died Friday, February 12, 2010. Alan was born December 29, 1928, in Detroit, Michigan the son of the late Elmer Eugene Waller and the late Emma (nee: Wilson) Waller. Mr. Waller was raised in Detroit and graduated from Eastern High School. He later entered the military serving during the Korean War with the United States Navy. After his military service Mr. Waller went to work for Michigan Bell for the next 20 years before retiring as a switchman. Later he operated his own janitorial business before he and his wife operated their own florist shop for many years. Never one to sit still Mr. Waller continued working delivering flowers for Downings Florist until his death. Mr. Waller was a member of the Harper Woods Lions Club for over 45 years and the AMVETS for over 28 years. Alan also had many hobbies in life including golf, playing cards, bowling, and visiting the casinos. He also loved to play computer poker, and tend to his yard and flowers. His favorite season of the year was Christmas where he would gather his entire family on Christmas Eve to decorate his enormous Christmas tree. However, his number one passion in life was to be surrounded by his loving family, and his loving wife. Surviving Alan is his loving wife of over 55 years, Beverly Jean (nee: Kidder). He is the dear father of Richard (Vicki), Keith (Kim), Shirley, Alan Jr. (Lori), Barb (Frank) Wrublesky, Gail (Hogan) Bielski, Carol, Nancy, and James (Anna Marie) Waller. Also the loving grandfather of Kelly, Melissa, Danielle, Kyla, Adam, Keith, Derrek, Jake, Jacqueline, Jason, Andrew, Anthony; and great-grandfather of Noah, Caleb, Brayden, Landrie, and soon to be "Baby Girl." Visitation for Mr. Waller will be Monday from 3-9 p.m., at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile). Mr. Waller will lie instate Tuesday 10 a.m. at Hope Lutheran Church, 32400 Hoover in Warren, until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Celebrating the services will be Pastor John Duerr. Arlene M. Henry Arlene M. Henry (nee Jacklin), age 75, of Utica, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010, in Royal Oak, Michigan. Born February 1, 1935, in Center Line to the late Harry and Martha Jacklin. Beloved wife of Max for over 55 years. Loving mother of Martha Henry. Proud grandmother of Krystal and Jason Henry. Dear sister of Pat (Herb) Howcroft, Joan Binkowski, Freda (Joe) Zanger and the late Harry (Shirley) Jacklyn, Norman Jacklyn, Ronald Jacklyn, Robert Jacklin, and Fred Jacklin; sister-in-law of Phoebe and Dorothy Jacklin and Bruno Binkowski. Aunt of many nieces and nephews. Arlene was a careworker for many years and she had a heart of gold. Hazel Jean Baligian Hazel Jean Baligian, age 84, born January 1, 1926, in Detroit. She passed away February 13, 2010, in Sterling Heights. Beloved wife of the late Paul. Joyce Ann Greben Joyce Ann Greben, age 77, a resident of Mount Clemens, passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2010, in Mount Clemens Regional Medical Center. She was born January 30, 1933, in Coldwater, Mich. On July 16, 1955, she was united in marriage to Harry A. Greben. Mrs. Greben was employed in the clerical department of National Twist Drill Company in Rochester for over 30 years, retiring in 1994. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Shipshewana, Indiana. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Harry, and a stepsister Elizabeth Swallow of Tampa, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Henrietta (nee Schoof) Kage and a stepsister Phyllis. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 17, 2010, at 11 a.m. in the Harold W. Loretta is survived by her husband Arnold P. Robert Lee Fields Robert Lee Fields, age 84, died February 12, 2010. Born in Springville, Virginia, September 18, 1925. Bob moved his family from Virginia to Flint, then Detroit, finally residing in Mount Clemens, Mich. A retired Army major, a World War II "Red Bulls" veteran. He worked for S.S. Kresge Company, then Macomb County Health Department before retiring to enjoy his family. He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Claudia; sons, Robert, Albert and Allen. He was predeceased by his daughter, Anna Marie. An avid Detroit Lions fan, Bob loved his family and took special pride in his 10 grandchildren and 10 greatgrandchildren, and made his friends, family and inlaws feel special, especially Linda.
