Clarey Rita Mae July 22, 1926 - October 1, 2010. Rita's spirit has risen to heaven to meet her God, her husband and eldest son who preceded her in death. Soon she will be a part of a very special and long awaited McCrady Reunion with her parents and 10 brothers and sisters. Her death will bring to close a generation whose memories we will all cherish. Her last days were spent in the peace and comfort of her home in Sparks, Nevada with her daughter Peggy Clarey and son-in-law, Fred Conner. Rita was born at the farm on Pumping Station Road. Fairfield County, Ohio. She grew up in Sugar Grove, Ohio, attended and graduated from Berne Union School in Sugar Grove, Ohio. Rita was the youngest child born to Charles and Rosemary (Shonebarger) McCrady. Rita was married to Wilbert A. Clarey for 56 years before his death in 2006. At that time she moved to Nevada to live with her only daughter. She had four children: Daniel (Linda), Peggy (Fred), Bruce (Alise), and Andrew (Laura). She had six male grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was a Nurses Aid at Garden City Osteopathic Hospital for over 20 Years. G.C.O.H. is located less that one block from the family Home on Cardwell Street, Garden City, Michigan. Her interests included playing cards, bingo, casino gambling and creating Jewelry Pictures. With "Web", she became an active and enthusiastic member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, starting in the mid 50's at Johnsons Post #78, on Joy Road in Detroit, Michigan, and ending her service at Battle Born Post #9211 on VFW Historic Lane in Reno, Nevada. She was anointed by Father Norman King from the Immaculate Conception Church. Her remains will be at the Glen Eden Memorial Park, Livonia, Michigan. Instead of flowers or gifts, remembrances can be PAID FORWARD.

Dorothy E. Wolney Battle Creek Dorothy E. Wolney, 89, died Tuesday, October 12, 2010, in Battle Creek. Dorothy was born on December 23, 1920, in Kalamzoo, MI, the daughter of Steve and Louise (Marszal) Mezak. She was a graduate of St. Augustine in Kalamazoo, and then attended Western Michigan University. Dorothy had been a resident of the area for 65 years. On October 18, 1941, she married Raymond J. Wolney who preceded her in death in 1999. She was employed by Jacobson's in Battle Creek for several years until the store's closing. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, The Counsel of Catholic Women, The Legion of Mary and a contact person for the prayer line. She enjoyed crocheting, jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles, playing the game Jumble in the paper and being with her family. She entertained and took care of all family members and friends until the day she died. Surviving are children, Ronald Wolney, Jean Millard, Joanne Bagwell, Daniel(Mary) Wolney, MaryAnne Wolney, Linda Federico, Sharon Wolney, Judy Wolney and Raynond Wolney; 33 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren; a brother, Daniel Mezak. She was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Wolney; daughters, Patricia Wolney and Casey Hennerman. Visitation will be held today from 4 to 8:00 p.m. at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 15, 2010, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with The Very Rev. Robert F. Howard Roy Johnson Spring Lake Howard Roy Johnson, age 95, formerly of Battle Creek, passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2010. He was born in Grand Rapids on June 1, 1915 to Isaac and Nora (Truesdell) Johnson. Howard graduated from Muskegon High School and went on to receive his Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from the, . He married Rosalie Rietdyk on March 28, 1941 in Muskegon. Howard worked for Eaton Corp. for 27 years before retiring as Executive Vice-President in 1973. Howard lived in Battle Creek until 1980, where he was very involved in his local community, serving as the Director of GHS Corp and Battle Creek Country Club and was a member of numerous professional organizations. He then moved to Spring Lake. He was also the Governor of the Golf Association of Michigan from 1980-1985. Howard was a man of honor with a very strong handshake. He was quite athletic and loved fishing, hunting and golfing. He is survived by his loving wife, Rosalie; daughter, Carole (Rich) Blazek of Spring Lake; 3 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and sister, Dorothy Cone. The service for Howard will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 16th at First Presbyterian Church in Grand Haven. Interment will be at Spring Lake Cemetery. Howrani Ameen Age 69, passed away on October 2, 2010. Beloved husband of Arlene for 30 years. Loving father to Ara Howrani and Ana (Joel) Howrani Heeres. Survivors include brothers Faris (Carlene) Howrani, John (Terri) Howrani, and sister Mary Catherine (Duane) Ashley, as well as brother-in-law Kenneth Yagoobian. He was predeceased by his parents Catherine and Adeeb Howrani. Also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Ameen will be remembered for changing the look of photography by capturing the powerful faces of everyday people in a compelling way. He will also be remembered for his charisma and the way he touched people on a personal level. At the time of his death, Ameen was working on a book, a 40-year retrospective of his photography in Detroit. A memorial for Ameen will be held on Friday, October 8, 5-9 p.m. at his studio. She was born June 20, 1930, daughter to late Andrew and Nina (Brezee) Noell. She married William E. Downs August 14, 1948 in Pontiac, he preceded her death January 13, 1999. Mrs. Downs worked at Tuscola Intermediate School District as a teacher aid for 13 years, retiring in 1990. Irene was long time member of the Silverwood United Methodist Church where she was very active. She is survived by sons, Larry Downs of Alma, Roger Downs of Oscoda, Ronald and Gail Downs of Tennessee; daughters, Karen and Don Ladd of Holly, Susan and Gerald Yacks of Oscoda, Patricia Friday of Tawas, Sandra and Karl Bogdan of Silverwood and Terry and David Boots of Mayville.

He was born March 31, 1959 in Battle Creek, Michigan the son of John and Alberta (Crandell) Kipp. Johnny was a 1977 graduate of Lakeview High School and attended Western Michigan University. He had worked for United Energy in San Francisco, Omni Computer in Battle Creek and Excel Computer in Dallas. Johnny was a member of First Wesleyan Church. He loved flying, playing golf and boating on Goguac Lake, and was an avid, fan. He is survived by two children: Karli and Justin Kipp; his mother: Alberta Murphy; two sisters: Cindi (Phillip) Kent and Denise (John) LaFountain; three nieces, one nephew and two great-nephews. Johnny was preceded in death by his father. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday at the First Wesleyan Church with Pastor Dick Huffman officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens. Ussher Kenneth L. Loving husband of Darlene (McMillian) Ussher. Beloved father of Karen and Jon Dante, Laura and William Deirlein. Loving step-father of Mark and Matthew Mullikin, and Jennifer Alvey. Step-grandfather of Megan Dante, Abigail Deirlein, Kelley, Molly, Adam, and Zachary Mullikin, and Travis Alvey. Brother of Edith Koch. Mr. Ussher was preceded in death by wife Norma Ussher. Mr. Ussher was a Army veteran and retired salesman with Marposs Corp. and a member of St. Timothy Church. He was also a member of the Florence Lions Club and VFW. Passed away on Friday October 1, 2010 at age 82, and was a resident of Florence, Kentucky. Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 from 5-8 p.m. with a Rosary Service staring at 3:30 p.m. at Stith Funeral Homes, 7500 Highway 42, Florence, KY. Mass of Christian burial will be Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at 10 a.m. at St. Timothy Church, 10272 US Highway 42, Union, KY. Matthew G. Kolstoe Okemos In love for life, Matthew G. Kolstoe passed away with his special friend, Heather Comstock on October 10, 2010. Matthew was born September 5, 1992 the son of John and Gail Kolstoe. He was 18 years old. Matthew was a 2010 graduate of Okemos High School, extremely active in Chieftain Sports. Matthew was a member of Boy Scouts Okemos Troop # 64 and enrolled at MSU to study psychology. Matthew is survived by his parents; brothers, Alex and Aidan; and his grandparents Norbert and Jermaine Gabry, and Ralph and Carolyn Kolstoe; aunts and uncles, Gary and Gail Gabry, Greg and Dena Gabry, David and Shelia Kolstoe, Mark Kolstoe, Susan Kolstoe, and Paul and Kari Kolstoe; and ten cousins. Matthew will also be missed by his many, many friends. A private funeral service will be held. The family is being served by Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, East Lansing. William Edward Dayton Grand Haven Mr. William E. Dayton, age 88, passed away Monday, October 11, 2010. He was born in Rochester, NY on October 24, 1921 to Michael and (Mabel) Dayton and served his country in the US Army during, . He married the former Lillian DeHeer on February 17, 1961. Mr. Dayton had been a landscaper for many area golf courses. He was a loving man who loved the outdoors and helping neighbors. Williams Josephine Mabel (Nee Kramer) Age 80 of Utica, died peacefully Saturday, October 2, 2010 after a 7 year battle with Alzheimer's. She is survived by her only daughter Donna (Michael) Kemper, her niece Marie (David) Vanker, and her nephews John Kramer and Raymond (Yvonne) Kramer plus several grandnieces and grandnephews. Jo graduated from Capac High School in 1948 and worked for Sears for 32 years. She loved gardening and animals. Funeral Service 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Wm.
