NICHOLAS, ANTHONY IANNI, JR.; died October 19, 2010; born to Nick and Gerry Ianni; January 13, 1955; in Wyandotte, Michigan. Graduated from Dexter High School in 1973, Michigan State University-James Madison College in 1977, and The University of Toledo College of Law in 1981. He was a member of the Michigan Bar. He was preceded in death by his father, Nick A, Sr. He is survived by his mother, Gerry; brothers Greg (Jamie), Mark (Kathy), and Rob; sisters Kathy Wall (Chris), Candace Dawson (Bill); and eight nieces and nephews. Nick Ianni loved people. He always offered a helping hand to those who needed it.

Barbara L. Ronan Marshal Barbara L. Ronan, 83, of Marshall, died on Tuesday, October 19, 2010, surrounded by her family at Oaklawn Hospital. Barb was born on December 11, 1926, in Auburn, Indiana to Charles and Helen (Hewitt) Hornett. She graduated from Auburn High School in 1944. She married Keith Ronan in 1956. Their marriage ended in divorce. Barb worked for the Schuler's Commissary and later would retire from Campbell's Soup, after working 25 years. She loved the outdoors, especially enjoyed working in her garden, going for walks, bird watching, and fishing. Barb was an avid sports fan and frequently attended Marshall High School sporting events. She was an excellent cook, loved to bake, enjoyed crocheting, and embrordery. Barb loved spending time with her family especially the time she spent with her grandchildren. She is survived by her son, Ken (Christina) Ronan of Battle Creek; two daughters, Ann(Larry Neal) Heathcote of Wyoming, Cindy (Terry) Spalding of Batavia, Illinois; two grandchildren, Brendan Joseph Ronan, and Rachel Lynn Spalding. She is also survived by her two sisters, Judith (James) Witherspoon of Garrett, Indiana, Norma (David) Rhodes of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and a brother, Harry Lee Hornett of Kendalville, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers; Charles Hornett Jr., Dennis Hornett; and infant sister, Rose Mary Hornett. Clarey Rita Mae July 22, 1926 - October 1, 2010. Rita's spirit has risen to heaven to meet her God, her husband and eldest son who preceded her in death. Soon she will be a part of a very special and long awaited McCrady Reunion with her parents and 10 brothers and sisters. Her death will bring to close a generation whose memories we will all cherish. Her last days were spent in the peace and comfort of her home in Sparks, Nevada with her daughter Peggy Clarey and son-in-law, Fred Conner. Rita was born at the farm on Pumping Station Road. Fairfield County, Ohio. She grew up in Sugar Grove, Ohio, attended and graduated from Berne Union School in Sugar Grove, Ohio. Rita was the youngest child born to Charles and Rosemary (Shonebarger) McCrady. Rita was married to Wilbert A. Clarey for 56 years before his death in 2006. At that time she moved to Nevada to live with her only daughter. She had four children: Daniel (Linda), Peggy (Fred), Bruce (Alise), and Andrew (Laura). She had six male grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was a Nurses Aid at Garden City Osteopathic Hospital for over 20 Years. G.C.O.H. is located less that one block from the family Home on Cardwell Street, Garden City, Michigan. Her interests included playing cards, bingo, casino gambling and creating Jewelry Pictures. With "Web", she became an active and enthusiastic member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, starting in the mid 50's at Johnsons Post #78, on Joy Road in Detroit, Michigan, and ending her service at Battle Born Post #9211 on VFW Historic Lane in Reno, Nevada. She was anointed by Father Norman King from the Immaculate Conception Church. Her remains will be at the Glen Eden Memorial Park, Livonia, Michigan. Instead of flowers or gifts, remembrances can be PAID FORWARD.

Myers, Fla. He preceded her in death in 1997 after several years of loving care. Mrs. Petroshus is survived by sons, Tim (April) of Brewster Ohio, and Frank (Shirley) of Onsted Michigan; grandchildren, Aimee, Heather, Chad, Ryan; great-grandchildren, Abigail, Alyssa, Allison, Molly, Braedon, Luke, Brayden and Gavin; and several nieces and nephews including Goddaughter Mary Jo Petroshus of Battle Creek and Godson Doug Smalla of Allegan. A memorial service will be held at St. Phillip Catholic Church in Battle Creek at noon on Saturday, November 6. She will be interred with her late husband in Ft. Myers Florida. Leon was born and raised in Lansing, MI to Leon Lockwood Fitzgerald and Ruth Bowden. He attended Everett High School in Lansing and graduated in 1957 at Holt High School, Holt, MI. He served in the US Navy and is retired from the Michigan State Liquor Control Commission as a Liquor Store Manager after 38 years. Leon was united in marriage to the former Sharon Laxton in February 1964. Surviving are his wife, daughters, Robin (David) Waterman, Windermere, FL, Tracie (Greg) Richardson, Climax, MI, Dana (Benton) Wood, Orlando, FL and Vicki (Fred) Glomb, Battle Creek, MI.; seven grandchildren; Chelsea, Tiffanie, Joel, Jessica, Amber, Casey and Parker sisters, Marjorie (Edward) Homer, Elgin, IL and Sandra (Donald) Taylor, Eaton Rapids, MI. Leon was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Irene Orr-Ueberroth. Leon was an avid bowler and very active in the Battle Creek Men's Bowling Association for nearly 35 years. He was also a Director on the Michigan State Bowling Association aka the USBCBA and their President 2007 and 2008. He preceded her on August 26, 1985. Penny enjoyed fishing, gardening, bird watching and her dogs. She is survived by her sister, Eva Wart of Battle Creek, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Ella Ahrens and Ethel Nicely, and her brother, James B. LaRose. A private memorial service will be held. Rob was the enthusiastic president of Kirkwood Lake Association for 20 years. Rob loved to fish with his brothers and friends on the beautiful Michigan waterways. Verhelst James "Jim" Passed away on Saturday, October 2, 2010 from a short bout with cancer. He leaves a wife of 52 years, Jane and two children, Vicki and Jim, four grandchildren, Tracey, Kayleigh, Eric and Dominic. In his memory, donations to Good Shepherd Hospice, 115 S. Nicholas Anthony Ianni, Jr Died October 19, 2010, born to Nick and Gerry Ianni, January 13, 1955, in Wyandotte, Michigan. Graduated from Dexter High School in 1973,, -James Madison College in 1977, and The University of Toledo College of Law in 1981. He was a member of the Michigan Bar. He was preceded in death by his father, Nick A, Sr. He is survived by his mother, Gerry; brothers, Greg (Jamie), Mark (Kathy), and Rob; sisters, Kathy Wall (Chris), Candace Dawson (Bill); and eight nieces and nephews. Nick Ianni loved people. He always offered a helping hand to those who needed it. His generosity was only exceeded by the goodness of his heart. His family was all important and nothing mattered more to him. His passion for his beloved Michigan State University Spartans will never be forgotten. He lived for fall Saturday's in East Lansing: tailgating with friends and afternoons in Spartan Stadium. Win or lose, his enthusiasm and support for the Spartans never waivered. Nick was a good, compassionate man and a great Spartan. Visitation will be Sunday, October 24, 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the Hosmer-Muehlig Funeral Chapel, Dexter. The Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, October 25, 11 a.m. at the old St. Joseph Catholic Church, on 4th Street in Dexter, with an hour of visitation preceding the Mass from 10-11 a.m. at the church. Williams Josephine Mabel (Nee Kramer) Age 80 of Utica, died peacefully Saturday, October 2, 2010 after a 7 year battle with Alzheimer's. She is survived by her only daughter Donna (Michael) Kemper, her niece Marie (David) Vanker, and her nephews John Kramer and Raymond (Yvonne) Kramer plus several grandnieces and grandnephews. Jo graduated from Capac High School in 1948 and worked for Sears for 32 years. She loved gardening and animals. Funeral Service 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Wm.
