LEPORE, ALINE H. (LAPORTE), 81, of Smithfield, died Saturday, October 23, 2010. She was the wife of the late Harry D. Lepore. Born in Marlborough, MA, she was a daughter of the late Aimee and Marie (Lariviere) Laporte. Aline was a cable assembler for Federal Electronics for 20 years before retiring in 1990. She lived in North Providence before moving to Smithfield in 1971, was a communicant of St. Anthony Church and a member of the Smithfield Senior Center. She will be remembered by her family and friends for her home baked goods, crafts and great smile. She is survived by her 3 daughters, Anita M. Lepore-Ally of Glocester, Deborah J. Frezza of Smithfield and Della J. Guay of Cranston. She was the sister of Rita Bibeault, her twin sister Rose Gendron and the late Adele Grandchamp, and the grandmother of 6. FRAIOLI DALNAS, ANN (MONTELIBERTO), of North Providence, passed away, Saturday, October 23, 2010 at South Pointe Rehabilitation Center, Fall River. She was the wife of the late John B. Fraioli and the late George Dalnas. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Luigi and Teresa (Bosco) Monteliberto. A loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she is survived by her son, David Dalnas and his wife Judith; two daughters, Diane Stillwell and Lisa Ann Rodrigues and her husband Robert; her son-in-law, Bill Stillwell; six grandchildren, Alec and Laura Stillwell and Eric, Kevin, Jeremy and Jeffrey Dalnas; and five great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Tony Monteliberto, Eleanor Raffa, Gilda Monteliberto and Josephine LaBagnare. SANDERSON, ANNE E. (SALISBURY), 86, died Sunday, October 24, 2010. She was the wife of the late Robert E. Sanderson, Sr. Born in Cranston a daughter of the late Everett and Margaret (Howard) Salisbury, she resided in Warwick most of her life. Mrs. Sanderson was a past President of the St. Timothy Womans Club, a member of the RI Emerald Society, and was an avid Red Sox fan. She leaves two sons, Robert E. Sanderson, Jr. and his wife Lynn and John S. Sanderson and his wife Deborah; and a daughter Patricia A. DeNuccio and her husband, John; sister of Jeanette Moore, Betty Bouchard, Joan Daniels, and the late Harold, Earl, George, Thomas Salisbury and Flora Cooney; sister-in-law of Jean Salisbury and Rae Salisbury. Also survived by 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. MARSIGLIANO, ANTHONY T., 55, formerly of Providence and Coventry, passed away on Friday, October 22, 2010 at the Zambarano Hospital in Burrillville. He was the son of the late Leonardo "Lenny" and Gilda (Manera) Marsigliano. Anthony was an equipment operator for the Diocese of Providence Catholic Cemeteries for many years before retiring due to illness. He was the father of Anthony T. Marsigliano III of Coconut Creek, FL; brother of Rocco (and Maureen) Marsigliano of Warwick, Leonard (and Gail) Marsigliano of Cranston, and James (and Karen) Marsigliano of West Palm Beach, FL. Beulah C. Anderson, PAWTUCKET - Beulah C. Anderson, 97, a retired secretary and licensed practical nurse died Saturday October 23, 2010. She was a resident of the United Methodist Retirement Center., Beulah was the wife of the late Russell Anderson. They had been married for sixty-seven years. She was the daughter of the late Arthur William and Anna Jane Caldwell, and was born in Providence, but lived in Pawtucket for most of her life. She moved to East Providence in 1996.

(Leblanc) Phillips of Sun City Center, FL and the late Michael J. Phillips, III. She was the loving wife of Joseph L. Moore, Jr. Mrs. Moore was a Homemaker who was active in many organizations. She was a 1976 Graduate of Rhode Island College, where she earned her degree in Social Work. She was an Easter Seal Poster Girl from 1956 to 1957, served on the Governor\\\'s Advocacy Council for the Handicapped for six years, served as Secretary for The Summit Association, and volunteered for Child Reach. Besides her mother and husband, she leaves a brother, Michael J. Phillips and his wife Karen of Warwick, three sisters, Denise M. Cohen and her husband Ron of Yucca Valley, CA, Diane C. McCabe and her husband John of Warwick, and Donna L. Provost of Fairbanks, Alaska. She was the loving aunt of eight nieces and nephews. Her Requiem Eucharist will be held on Tuesday at 10am in All Saints Episcopal Church, 111 Greenwich Ave., Pontiac Village, Warwick. Born in North Providence, a son of the late Margaret (Cardell) and Ermond E. Garceau Sr., Ermond was raised in Johnston and had lived in North Providence for the past 38 years. Besides his wife, he leaves 3 children, Denise A. Massotti, David M. and Ermond E. Garceau III, all of North Providence; 6 grandchildren, Danielle, Erica, Nicholas and Anthony Garceau, Michael and Matthew Massotti; 2 great-grandsons, Caleb Garceau and Frankie Falso; and a brother, Joseph C. Garceau of Greenville. He had been the brother of the late Sarah E. Pagnozzi of Smithfield. Mr. Garceau worked for various trucking companies before his retirement in 1993 due to illness and was a member of the Teamsters Union Local 251. Earl A. Marchand, ATTLEBORO - Earl A. Marchand, of Attleboro, Mass., a former Boston newspaperman and communications writer, died Friday in his home after a brief illness. He was 79., A Korean War Navy veteran, Mr. Marchand served as staff writer for the Boston Herald Traveler and Boston Herald American from 1961 to 1980.


 


 

Edward Perry

PERRY, EDWARD, SM/SGT, USAF, RET., age 86, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family Sunday, Oct. 24, 2010. He was the beloved husband of Bridget (Stevenson) Perry. A lifelong resident of East Providence, he was born there March 23, 1924. He was a son of the late Jesse Perry Jr. and Mary Trinidad (Andrade) Perry. He was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church. Mr. Perry retired after 30 years of service to our Country. He was an Army veteran of WWII, where he served in the European, Middle Eastern and Far West Campaigns and later was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War and of the Vietnam War. He was awarded the Bronze Star and several other military awards. After retiring, he worked for the State of RI. He was a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus and a former charter member and co-founder of Primera Cordeira VFW Post. In addition to his wife of 61 years, he leaves his children, Barbara Perry, Dorothy Bogle, Linda Connolley, Pamela Wante, Edward Perry Jr., Patricia Furtado, Theresa Cabral, Paul Perry and Christine Johnstone; 21 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. He was also the brother of Jesse Perry III, Gladys Mohart, Dolores Colantonio and the late Dorothy Perry and Joseph Perry. His funeral will begin Friday at 7:45am from the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME, 901 Broadway, East Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9am at Sacred Heart Church, Taunton Ave., East Providence. HAKANSON-ANDREWS, ELEANOR M. (WILKINSON), 89, of Coventry, died peacefully on Thursday, October 21, 2010 at Kent Hospital. Born in Fall River, MA, she was a daughter of the late Wright Wilkinson and Jennie (Bell) Wilkinson. She was the wife of the late Russell Andrews and Berthel H. Hakanson. Mrs. Hakanson-Andrews was the Director of Head Start Program for the City of Warwick until her retirement. She was a long time communicant of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church and a dedicated member of N.A.R.F.E. where she served as Secretary of the chapter for many years. She leaves her five children: Pamela H. McPhillips of Cranston, Carla Sue Waldt of Boyerstown, PA, Jill S. Turner of Coventry, Jon Wright Hakanson of Exeter and Jeffrey B. Hakanson of Coventry. She was the Step-Mother of Scott Andrews of Coventry and Russell Andrews of New Hampshire. She was the loving grandmother of 12 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and the sister of the late Arlene Wagner. Fred was a WW- II Navy veteran serving as a Chief Petty Officer, retiring after twenty years of service. He worked as an accountant and was a dedicated employee for ITT Grinell, Forte Brothers Construction, Pezza Construction and Silver Lake Community Center, before retiring in 2008. Fred was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Bartholomew's Church, Past Grand Counselor of UCT N.E. and Past Counselor of UCT Providence Council # 67, a member of St. Bartholomew's Men's Society and the Disabled American Veterans. Besides his wife he was the loving brother of Mildred Roth, Elia Tria and the late Edward Santagata and dear uncle of Barry DeCosta, David DeCosta, Lori Viglone and many other nieces and nephews. BELLUSCIO, JAMES F., 89, of Smithfield, passed away peacefully at Hebert Nursing Home. He was the beloved husband of the late Teresa (Napolitano) Belluscio. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late James and Lillian (Sweet) Belluscio. James was employed as a chain solderer at Chain Craft until retiring. He was a Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, Finnegan Council and a 4th Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus, Adams Council. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII. He leaves two sons, James F. Belluscio, Jr. and Ronald G. Belluscio; a daughter, Kathleen Mele; eight grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late John Belluscio, Pearl Rachiele, Angelina Belluscio and Regina "Jean" Rachielle. Jane Raether

RAETHER, JANE NOBLE, 91, died Monday, October 18, 2010, in Providence, Rhode Island. Mrs. Raether was born in Detroit, Michigan on September 6, 1919. In the late 1930's she attended Wayne State University and was employed by J. L. Hudson Department Stores and Michigan Bell Telephone Company. On July 4, 1942 in Orchard Lake, Michigan, she married Arnold E. Raether. Mrs. Raether was an active member of the League of Women Voters, the Visiting Nurses Association, the Dumb Friends League, and the Parent Board of the Kent School in Denver, Colorado. She was also a member of the DAR. She was an avid skier, sailor and an accomplished bridge player who loved to travel overseas with her husband, Arnold, who died in 1987. Mrs. Raether is survived by two sons, Carl N. Raether of McLean, Virginia and Paul E. Raether of Greenwich, Connecticut; and a daughter, Christiana Jane Raether of Providence, Rhode Island; seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Ann Kolpien of Del Ray Beach, FL. A long time resident of Denver, Colorado, Mrs. Raether will be buried at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Littleton, Colorado next to her husband in a private ceremony. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to local hospice organizations in the name of Jane Noble Raether.

John Campbell

CAMPBELL, JOHN T. "JACK", 86 of Allen Ave., Cranston died Sunday, October 24, 2010 at his home. He was the husband of the late Rita M. (Morris) Campbell. Born in Providence a son of the late Frank E. and Anna G. (Radican) Campbell. Jack worked a the Providence Post Office as a mechanic. He was a World War II Army Vetran, serving in the 106th Division as a S/Sgt., and was an Ex POW. He received the Purple Heart, two Bronz Stars and the Combat Infantry Badge. He is survived by his children Maureen E. Carlson, Edward J., Stephen E., and Kevin J. Campbell. A sister Virginia Hughes and was the father of the late Tomas M. Campbell. MULGREW, MURIEL E. 84, of Scarsdale, NY, died Saturday in California. She was the wife of the late Robert P. Mulgrew. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Luke P. and Elizabeth (Smith) Mulleedy. Mrs. Mulgrew was a graduate of Brown University and became an Elementary School Teacher for the Providence, RI and later the Port Chester, NY School Systems. She is survived by three children, Mimi Klein of New York City, Robert Mulgrew of Carlsbad, CA and Scott Mulgrew of Sarasota, FL; five grandchildren, and three sisters and two brothers. The Funeral will be 10 AM Friday from the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 114 High Street, Wakefield.
