Clarey Rita Mae July 22, 1926 - October 1, 2010. Rita's spirit has risen to heaven to meet her God, her husband and eldest son who preceded her in death. Soon she will be a part of a very special and long awaited McCrady Reunion with her parents and 10 brothers and sisters. Her death will bring to close a generation whose memories we will all cherish. Her last days were spent in the peace and comfort of her home in Sparks, Nevada with her daughter Peggy Clarey and son-in-law, Fred Conner. Rita was born at the farm on Pumping Station Road. Fairfield County, Ohio. She grew up in Sugar Grove, Ohio, attended and graduated from Berne Union School in Sugar Grove, Ohio. Rita was the youngest child born to Charles and Rosemary (Shonebarger) McCrady. Rita was married to Wilbert A. Clarey for 56 years before his death in 2006. At that time she moved to Nevada to live with her only daughter. She had four children: Daniel (Linda), Peggy (Fred), Bruce (Alise), and Andrew (Laura). She had six male grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was a Nurses Aid at Garden City Osteopathic Hospital for over 20 Years. G.C.O.H. is located less that one block from the family Home on Cardwell Street, Garden City, Michigan. Her interests included playing cards, bingo, casino gambling and creating Jewelry Pictures. With "Web", she became an active and enthusiastic member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, starting in the mid 50's at Johnsons Post #78, on Joy Road in Detroit, Michigan, and ending her service at Battle Born Post #9211 on VFW Historic Lane in Reno, Nevada. She was anointed by Father Norman King from the Immaculate Conception Church. Her remains will be at the Glen Eden Memorial Park, Livonia, Michigan. Instead of flowers or gifts, remembrances can be PAID FORWARD.

He was born March 14, 1927 in Jackson, Michigan to Bernardo and Anna (Camastro) Paniccia. On June 7, 1947 he married Marjorie Bohm who preceded him in death on February 14, 2009. He worked for Albion Industries as a purchasing agent. He belonged to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Florida and St. John Parrish here in Albion. Dominic was in the Jackson Bowling Hall of Fame, past President Knights of Columbus State of Michigan Bowling Association. He was an accomplished Golfer with 3 hole in one's, an accomplished Bridge player, charter member of Father Oak Council Knights of Columbus in Albion. Dominic ushered at the big house and loved the Wolverines. He was also very competitive in softball fast pitch League. Dominic very much enjoyed music and dancing. After many years of work Dominic and Marjorie retired to Venice FL and eventually settled in Steuart FL coming back to visit friends and family often. His survivors include: 2 sons, Michael and Lisa Marie Panicca of Albion and Dominic B. Paniccia and Fiancé Sherry McNamer of Sugar Grove, OH, 1 sister, Mary Lowry, of Radcliff, KY and sister in law Marcelene & Wayne VanSchoick of Albion, 1 brother, Frank and Sandi Paniccia of Bonita Spring, FL, many nieces and nephews. 4 grandchildren and, 2 great-grandchildren He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and one brother, Rocco. The oldest of five children, Rob loved to spend summers up north with family and friends. Summers were spent fishing and roaming the woods and fields of our beautiful state. Rob graduated from Oakland University and then the National College of Chiropractic in Illinois. He worked first as an associate of George Goodheart, founder of Applied Kinesiology and later practiced privately in Birmingham for 25 years. His ability to reach bodies, hearts and minds was legendary. Rob was gifted at articulating the pilgrimage towards consciousness. Rob was the enthusiastic president of Kirkwood Lake Association for 20 years. Rob loved to fish with his brothers and friends on the beautiful Michigan waterways. All those who knew Rob knew he was the facilitator of fun and joy and true engagement in life. Survived by beloved wife Lynn and daughters Sarah and Alyssa. Robert N. "Bob" Shook Fulton Robert N. "Bob" Shook, age 89, died peacefully on Saturday Oct. 16, 2010 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo. He was born in Fulton on Dec. 22, 1920 the son of George W. and Carrie (Kline) Shook. He graduated from Athens High School and continued to work on the family farm prior to, . Bob served in the U.S. Army in the Pacific Theater during the war. While on leave he met his future wife, Adele Hoy in Sydney Australia. Bob and Adele were married on March 11, 1947 at St. Edward Catholic Church in Mendon, and they have made their home at the family farm in Fulton since their marriage. Bob worked in the airline industry starting out in Battle Creek with American Airlines and North Central Air, which later became Republic and Northwest Airlines, retiring as a regional sales manager. He attended American University in Washington, D.C., and Western Michigan University, where he also taught several classes. Bob was an active member of St. Edward Catholic Church in Mendon where he was a Lector, CCD teacher, and served on the Parish Council. He was also a volunteer with the Jail Ministry program for the Diocese of Kalamazoo, and for Borgess VNA and Hospice. He was the founder of Red Carpet Travel Service in Three Rivers and was a member of the Battle Creek Optimist Club and the American Legion. Bob is survived by his wife, Adele; ten children, Lynette (Mike) Wilson of Leonidas, Christopher (Katherine) Shook of Kalamazoo, Stephen (Jo Ellen) Shook of Springfield, VA, Marianne (Joe) Kuiper of Mattawan, Timothy Shook of Miami, FL, Maureen (David) Simms of Milford, Robert G. Shook of Allegan, Lawrence (Darla Cook) Shook of Battle Creek, Pauline (Mark) Giacobone of Schoolcraft, and Kathleen (Steve) Waldron of Schoolcraft; 26 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and by his special niece, Kay (Trevor) Jones of Northport. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Dr. Kenneth Shook and Cleon Shook; and 3 infant children. Verhelst James "Jim" Passed away on Saturday, October 2, 2010 from a short bout with cancer. He leaves a wife of 52 years, Jane and two children, Vicki and Jim, four grandchildren, Tracey, Kayleigh, Eric and Dominic. In his memory, donations to Good Shepherd Hospice, 115 S. Robert N. "Bob" Terry Grand Ledge Age 67, our loving husband, father, grandfather passed away October 16, 2010 surrounded by his family. Born February 3, 1943 in Courtland, AL. Bob started with Oldsmobile were he worked 15 years before becoming the alternate committeeman and later committeeman with U.A.W. Local #652 for 17 years before retiring. He was a veteran of the U.S., . He loved camping, fishing, hunting, and traveling to Alabama to visit family. He loved sports, and was an avid baseball and football fan for many teams. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Billy Taft and Syble Terry; and brothers, Billy Ray and Stanley "Buddy" Terry. Surviving are his long time companion and wife of 6½years, Cathy; 2 daughters, Rhonda (Laron) Morse, and Connie Gearheart; step-daughter, Susan (Derek) Heins; twin step-sons, Robert and David Barnes; 6 grandchildren: Lisa and Randy Morse; Brittaney, Samantha, and Danny Gearheart; Grace Heins, and one on the way; brother, Cecil Lynn Terry; In-Laws, Bill and Maria Mills; special family, Elizabeth, Ryan, Danialle, and Mason; and numerous family members in Alabama. Visitation is from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon with services 12:00 Noon Wednesday, October 20, in the Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing. Interment Oakwood Cemetery, Grand Ledge. Williams Josephine Mabel (Nee Kramer) Age 80 of Utica, died peacefully Saturday, October 2, 2010 after a 7 year battle with Alzheimer's. She is survived by her only daughter Donna (Michael) Kemper, her niece Marie (David) Vanker, and her nephews John Kramer and Raymond (Yvonne) Kramer plus several grandnieces and grandnephews.
